The CES 7050 Programmable Logic Controller Trainer allows the student to devlop skills needed for todays fast paced field of process automation. The PLC trainer has discrete I/O and a serial connection to the PC Software which operates on the PC for the support of the PLC.

The student will learn about ladder logic programming, and develop logic, download, upload, debug, and troubleshoot PLC logic programs. A full set of logic commands are available for the user, with the basic if/and/or capabilities (normally open and normally closed) logic elements being primarily used. Timers and counters will also be extensively used.

The Human Interface (HMI) software will be used for the development and debug of HMI components addressed to the PLC. After mastering the concepts involved in relating PLC logic addresses to HMI graphic element address, the learner will functionally replace the hardware push buttons and panel lights on the trainer with the HMI versions of these control
elements. Very basic graphical element development will be accomplished by the student. In a culminating lab experience, the student will be furnished with a full HMI representation of the trainer, and will be required to furnish HMI I/O addressing.
Jobs on the trainer can then be executed and the trainer will operate with a HMI graphic representation of the trainer functioning as well.
